About The Show
Britain vs The World is the new comedy panel game show that features a team of two British comedians competing against a team of comics from overseas.
The British side is captained by Hal Cruttenden, a brilliant stand-up comedian who has recently performed on ‘Live At The Apollo’, ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow’, ‘The Rob Brydon Show’ and at the Royal Variety Performance. Hal is also, in both voice and tone, the perfect representative of the home nations. He is paired with the cream of contemporary British comedians including many familiar to the Radio 4 audience as well as newer voices.
Meanwhile, the World team is captained by the German Henning Wehn, a brilliant and unique comic who has appeared on shows such as ‘Heresy’, ‘The Now Show’, ‘The News Quiz’, ‘The Unbelievable Truth’ and ‘Act Your Age’. Each week he is joined by comedians from the USA, Canada and Australia as well as fellow Europeans.
The series is hosted by Irish comedian Ed Byrne who attempts to stay impartial while ever so-slightly favouring the World team.
